Responsibilities
Lisa Liverman is executive director of compound partnering for Furiex. She is the program director for several compounds in Furiex’s pipeline including Priligy® and JNJ-Q2.
Experience
Ms. Liverman has extensive experience managing clinical development programs and working with partners. Before joining Furiex, she was a senior director in PPD’s compound partnering group, acting as the program lead for PPD10558 and Priligy. Ms. Liverman also participated in technical due diligence for numerous compounds and mapped out development programs for potential compounds of interest.
Prior to joining PPD’s compound partnering group, Ms. Liverman facilitated the global implementation of an internal project management system for PPD. She served as chair for the project’s global steering committee and was responsible for the oversight of the program’s training, working closely with various PPD departments to ensure a smooth rollout and implementation of the system.
Ms. Liverman joined PPD in 1991 as a clinical research associate and later became director of the general medicine division. Her primary therapeutic experience is in diabetes and associated complications, obesity, erectile dysfunction, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and multiple sclerosis.
Education
A registered pharmacist, Ms. Liverman earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has practiced retail and hospital pharmacy.
