Responsibilities

Scott Dove is senior director of compound partnering for Furiex. His responsibilities include overseeing the execution of full development programs from preclinical evaluation through submission of marketing applications.

Experience

Prior to joining Furiex, Dr. Dove was director of compound partnering for PPD, where he led the development efforts of a topical dermatology product. He also performed due diligence activities in support of new in-licensing opportunities and evaluated potential clinical and regulatory strategies for compounds in development.

Dr. Dove has 15 years of experience in drug development, from preclinical pharmacology assessments in the laboratory setting through clinical development efforts in the contract research organization (CRO) industry. Prior to joining the compound partnering group, Dr. Dove held leadership positions in medical writing, product development and key account management with PPD, where he provided global oversight for key clients across PPD business units and provided scientific and regulatory consultation to clients and PPD project teams.

His key areas of therapeutic experience include clinical pharmacology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and neurology.

Education

Dr. Dove earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a doctorate in pharmacology from Texas A&M University.
